On November 28, 2020 at 8:11 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Buffalo Road, Town of Caroline for a motor vehicle accident. Deputies located the vehicle, however, the driver fled prior to arrival. Deputies were able to locate the driver, Joseph R. Vallely, age 46 of Brooktondale and interviewed him. Deputies further conducted a DWI Investigation, which resulted in Vallely’s arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
Vallely was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree (Class E Felony), Driving While Intoxicated (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Refusal to Take Breath Test (Traffic Infraction), Moved From Lane Unsafely (Traffic Infraction), Unregistered Motor Vehicle (Traffic Infraction) and Operating Without Insurance (Traffic Infraction). Vallely was released on an appearance ticket ordering him to return to the Town of Caroline Court at a later date.
