On November 26, 2021 at approximately 4:10 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a road rage incident that occurred on Dutcher Road in the Town of Dryden, where a male displayed a handgun at another motorist. Tompkins County 911 was able to give out the description of the vehicle and direction of travel.
A short time later, Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a vehicle stop. Deputies on scene identified the operator as 32 year old, Texas Poorman from Horseheads NY. Deputies located a black in color handgun that was identified as a pellet gun. Poorman was subsequently charged with Menacing in the 2nd Degree (class A Misdemeanor) and was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Dryden Court to answer his charge at a later date.
