On 01/26/2021 at 3:31 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 1200 block of Taughannock Blvd in the Town of Ulysses for a report of a one-car crash with injuries. Upon arrival, deputies located a 2007 Ford Explorer that had struck a tree.
Through further investigation deputies determined that the Ford Explorer was traveling south on Taughannock Blvd, crossed the centerline and struck a tree off the east side of the roadway. No other vehicles were involved. The driver and sole occupant of the Ford Explorer was transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. The driver is in critical condition.
The Trumansburg Fire Company assisted the Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing and the driver’s name is not being released at this time.
