On February 1, 2021, at about 02:24 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 2200 block of State Route 13 in the Town of Dryden for a report of a one-car motor vehicle crash whereas the vehicle was reported to be in the ditch.
Upon arrival, Deputies determined through their investigation that the vehicle was traveling northbound on State Route 13, crossed over the opposing lane of travel and came to rest in the ditch on the south side of the road. The operator, Devin Ring age 25 of Old Bethpage, NY was not injured in the crash. Through further investigation, Deputies determined that Ring was intoxicated and subsequently arrested Ring.
Ring was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a blood alcohol content greater than .18% (Unclassified Misdemeanor) and Failure to Keep Right (Violation). Ring was released and is scheduled to appear in Dryden Town Court at a later date
