On December 2, 2020 at 10:30 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Lance D. Newby, age 34 of Trumansburg, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree (Class D Felony).
The investigation began after a traffic stop that occurred on May 14, 2020 at 4:02 PM in the parking lot of the Mobil Gas Station located at 2311 N. Triphammer Road in the Village of Lansing. During the course of their investigation, deputies conducted a search of the vehicle, which resulted in the discovery of marihuana, packaging material and approximately 24 grams of cocaine. Deputies sent the drugs to the NYS Crime Lab and after the lab results returned, arrested Newby for possession.
At the request of the Town of Ithaca Court, Newby was released on an appearance ticket ordering him to return to the Town of Ithaca Court on December 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM.
