On December 14, 2020 at 2:39 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Tops located at 2300 N. Triphammer Road in the Village of Lansing for a theft complaint. Deputies located a possible suspect upon arrival near a bus stop in the area. Deputies conducted a show up with witnesses and confirmed the suspect, Kevin L. Crowe, age 30 of Ithaca, NY was the individual who allegedly stole a shopping cart full of groceries from Tops.
Crowe was charged with Petit Larceny (Class A Misdemeanor) and released on an appearance ticket ordering him to return to the Town of Lansing Court at a later date.
