On December 12, 2020 at 11:56 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to North Road, Town of Dryden near the intersection with Fall Creek Road for a personal injury accident. Upon arrival, deputies located a jeep that appeared to have failed to navigate the turn off Fall Creek Road onto North Road and collided with the ditch on the westerly side of the roadway. Deputies identified the driver as Belinda A. Ryan, age 55 of Whitman Lane, Dryden, NY. During the course of their investigation into the accident, deputies observed signs of impairment and conducted a DWI Investigation, which resulted in Ryan’s arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
Ryan was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .08% or Greater (Unclassified Misdemeanor) and Moved from Lane Unsafely (Traffic Infraction). Ryan was released on an appearance ticket ordering her to return to the Town of Dryden Court at a later date.
