On April 21, 2021 at 6:23 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Blakeslee Hill Road in the Town of Newfield for a report of a one-car motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, the driver of the vehicle stated that he swerved to miss a deer, which caused him to drive into the ditch. While Deputies were investigating the crash, the driver provided deputies with two false names. Later in the investigation, the driver provided deputies with his real name, Raujhay D.L. Klugo, age 24 of Elmira, NY. Through further investigation, deputies learned that the vehicle Klugo crashed was stolen.
Klugo was arrested for False Personation (Class B Misdemeanor) and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree (Class E Felony). Klugo was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Newfield Court on May 5, 2021 at 5:30 PM.
